ANSYS, Inc, has posted sample clips of various simulations on its webpage, for others to use to gain insights in the fight against COVID-19.
The simulations, which can be viewed here, offer various insights on aspects including:
- Insights to limit the spread, which show the effect of maintaining social distancing when talking to others, or running near others.
- Insights into the effectiveness of both wearing a mask and fitting it properly.
- The airflows around a negative pressure room.
- Industrial and scientific insights such as models of disinfection in a room, simulated vaccine production scale-up, simulations for ventilator design, and (as shown above) inhalation drug delivery modelling.
