Sensirion is a manufacturer of digital microsensors and systems, in particular flow sensors. The company’s product range includes gas and liquid sensors as well as differential pressure and environmental sensors for measuring temperature and humidity, volatile organic compounds, CO2 and particulate matter (PM2.5). Sensirion sensors can commonly be found in the medical, industrial and automotive sectors, analytical instruments, consumer goods and HVAC products.
Sensirion flow sensors, for example in respiratory delivery systems, can represent a crucial technology element in the creation of connected devices. One of the hallmark features of Sensirion products is the use of its patented CMOSens® techology, which permits intelligent system integration of the sensor element, logic, calibration data and a digital interface on a single chip.
The company was founded in 1998 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. It is now a publicly traded company (Swiss SIX exchange:SENS) and globally active, with locations worldwide.
