About

Paul Jansen is a Device & Drug Device Consultant who also sits on the board of Subcuject and serves as a Kymanox Executive Advisor. He was formerly Associate Vice-President, Medical Device Development at Sanofi.

Mr Jansen is a professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience in medical devices, including extensive experience in the design, development, manufacturing and lifecycle management of medical devices. He has multiple patents to his name and has deep experience in the creation and management of IP portfolios.

He has successfully led teams that have launched several award-winning devices, including Sanofi’s Lantus SoloStar^®, the world’s most popular insulin pen injector. Mr Jansen is a longstanding member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), serving as Working Group Convenor and Expert on many working groups responsible for standards related to injection devices.

He completed his degree in mechanical engineering and has completed graduate work in biomedical engineering at the University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada).
