Planning your presence

Two simple decisions

Planning a presence in ONdrugDelivery comes down to two decisions: which issue topics matter to you, and what you want to do in each of them.

1

Choose the issue topics that fit

Each issue covers one specialist topic. Pick the issues where your products, technologies or services belong, using the editorial calendar.

See the topics

2

Choose the placements that fit

For every issue you picked, decide how big a presence you want there: a sponsored package, straight advertising, or a non-paid article.

Compare the placements

Step 1: issue topic selection

Choose the issue topics that fit

Each issue of ONdrugDelivery focuses on one specific topic within the field of drug delivery. That high level of topic specificity gives an unparalleled degree of targeting: for companies providing drug delivery products, technologies and services, each issue is a platform to reach exactly the clients and partners working in that specific area.

There are 14 issues a year across the topics listed here. Some topics have two issues a year, and every issue also goes to the major conferences on its subject in print.

Advertising without content

Magazine ads and banner ads

Magazine advertisements

Magazine ads in ONdrugDelivery come as part of a package. Every magazine ad booking includes a mini branding package, so your presence in the magazine issue is carried across all the channels we use when we publish an issue: our website, the e-issue (the issue emailed to >19,000 opt-in recipients) and social media.

Formats: double-page spread, full page, half page (vertical or horizontal) and third of a page (vertical or horizontal). All ads are colour and appear in the print, PDF and e-reader editions. Right-hand page positioning by default; specific positions can always be considered.

Every magazine ad booking includes

  • The magazine ad itself, in the print, PDF and e-reader editions of the issue.
  • Company Spotlight on the inside back cover spread, with the other supporting companies (colour logo, short text, contact person and details, web URL).
  • One web banner (skyscraper or leaderboard) associated with the online issue for six months.
  • Prominent logo and link as a supporting company in the e-issue, the issue emailed to >19,000 opt-in recipients.
  • Mention and tag as a supporting company in the social media post announcing the issue.

Banner advertisements

Our digital advertising is built around quality: strictly limited positions, and artwork of a high standard. That protects the reader experience and the value of the space our advertisers buy.

Web banners

  • Leaderboard (728 x 90 px) and skyscraper (120 x 600 px) positions on ondrugdelivery.com, linking to a URL of your choice, including a tracking URL.
  • Page-specific positioning options, including drug-delivery-topic-targeted placements.
  • Three, six and twelve-month runs.

E-issue banners

  • One exclusive leaderboard (728 x 90 px) per e-issue, positioned above the issue’s articles, so yours is the only advertiser in the inbox on the day the issue lands.
  • Every e-issue is emailed to >19,000 registered, opt-in subscribers, with a unique open rate of 19 to 21%.
  • 14 e-issues a year, each dedicated to a single specialist topic, so you can pick the issues that match your market.
  • Linking to a URL of your choice, with opens and clicks reporting after each send.
  • Available for one, three, six or all 14 e-issues (full year, exclusive).

Non-paid, article-only placements

For pharma companies, independent experts and early-stage innovators

Three routes into ONdrugDelivery with no fees attached. All are subject to acceptance for publication by our editor, based on the value they bring to readers within the scope of an issue topic.

Non-paid

Pharma View

Articles written by subject matter experts from pharma and biopharma companies.

Most of what appears in ONdrugDelivery comes from the companies that develop and supply the devices, formulations, components and associated technologies and services of drug delivery. A Pharma View turns that round and gives our readers the perspective of the companies developing the molecules that will be delivered by the systems and technologies the global drug delivery industry offers. Publishing a Pharma View in ONdrugDelivery allows you to inform our readership about pipeline demands, present and future, IP and the other factors at play, partnering models, trends and preferences, how you prefer to be approached, and what you see coming down the track. The focus can be as broad as the interaction between drug delivery and your sector, or as specific as one programme, class of molecules or therapeutic area.

  • Open to pharma, biopharma, biotech, biosimilars and generics companies of any size. Our readers truly value Pharma View articles and read them closely.
  • Making the arrangements is simple. First, pick an issue from the Editorial Calendar where the topic makes sense and the timing works, and send us a working title or a one-line synopsis. We book it in and send you the article specs and guidelines.
  • When the article arrives our editorial team sub-edit it, proofread it and set it on page, then send you the proof for approval, so you are in complete control of what is published. It then appears in print, online, in the e-issue and on social media, and in the printed copies we distribute at conferences in the months after publication.
  • Short on time to write? A Pharma View can also be an interview, published as a written-up Q&A. We scope out the questions with you in advance, record an hour on Teams with you and/or your subject matter experts, and transcribe it. From there the process is the same as for an article. The recording and transcript are confidential and never released, and the Q&A text is only published with your approval. With the main text taken care of, all we need from you is any figures, the interviewee bios and photos, your company logo and a short about-the-company text.

Non-paid, non-promotional

Expert View

Thought-leadership articles by recognised experts in the field. Unbranded and strictly non-promotional.

  • Up to 2,000 words, with colour figures and diagrams and contact details.
  • As impartial as possible. Cannot focus on one company’s product, technology or service, though these can be mentioned in a review of a market or sector alongside other companies’ offerings.
  • Must not be a promotional or PR piece.
  • See previous Expert Views (log in to read).

Early Insight

A platform for very early-stage commercial and academic innovations, so readers hear about new technologies at the earliest opportunity.

  • Up to 2,000 words, with colour figures and diagrams and contact details. Minimal branding: a small company or university logo in the contact box.
  • Can, and should, focus on one company’s product, technology or service.
  • Open to academic organisations, spin-outs and early start-ups. Commercial organisations can normally submit one Early Insight, and it should be among the very first times the innovation is publicised.
  • See previous Early Insights.
