About

Dale Charlton, PhD, is a Freelance Consultant for automation and fill/finish. Dr Charlton has spent a lifelong career in the life science and biotechnology sector. He obtained a PhD within Pfizer’s Drug Discovery Group and worked on API and biotech manufacture before moving into pharmaceutical fill/finish. He took up a position as the Director of Business Development at Optima Pharma in sterile production automation and worked for several contract design and manufacturing organisations offering development and finished drug services.

Dr Charlton has a unique understanding of the entire drug development lifecycle and offers insight from both the pharma and supplier perspective.
