Niels Christian Nilsson, PhD, is a Senior Usability Engineer at Novo Nordisk, where he works with human factors engineering and usability activities supporting the development of drug delivery devices. Before joining Novo Nordisk in 2023, he was an Associate Professor at Aalborg University (Denmark). He holds a PhD from Aalborg University and has a background in human-computer interaction, virtual reality and spatial user interfaces. His current research focuses on understanding user capabilities and behaviours and generating evidence to inform device design, evaluation and regulatory documentation.
