About

Shane Smith, PhD, is Chief Executive Officer at Glycome BioPharma. He is an experienced innovator in medical technologies with a 10-year track record of business success and entrepreneurship. He earned his Master’s in Medical Bio-Business and a PhD in Medical Sciences from University of Aberdeen (UK).

After his post-graduate studies, Dr Smith worked in a number of small-to-large-sized biotech companies, working his way up to a C-level position at BioCyto (Cork, Ireland). He is a director of PanEuro Venture Partners and sits on a number of high-growth company boards.
