Sahab Babaee, PhD, is Principal of Targeted Delivery and New Device Technology Development & Innovation at Sanofi, where he leads early‑stage device technology R&D initiatives to advance innovative solutions for future pipeline needs. His expertise spans parenteral, implantable, topical and oral delivery systems across oncology, immunology, ophthalmology and gastroenterology.

Dr Babaee previously served as a Research Scientist in Professors Langer and Traverso’s laboratories at MIT (Cambridge, MA, US) and as a Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He earned his PhD in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University (MA, US) and has authored 34 publications and 16 patent applications.
